The trestle base for this table is derived from a design by  Sam Maloof.  The top is a bookmatched live-edged walnut pair, from a tree reclaimed from an urban property.

Lectern, quartersawn white oak, white oak, poplar

Mexican architect Luis Barragan designed several versions of this lectern, one of which is in his famous 1948 house and studio in Mexico City, which he used to display his books and prints.  The design is an interesting mix of modernist and ecclesiastic styles with the massive white oak timbers forming the base.  The original is deceptively large, over 4 ft. wide and deep.

End table, quartersawn oak, riftsawn oak, walnut

After the 1901 table by Mackay Hugh Bailee Scott in the MOMA collection. Not mid-century, but a cool design nonetheless.  Legs are tapered hexagons, with a wedged tenon.

Desk, hickory, walnut, glass

This desk is adapted from the 1938 Franco Albini design for Knoll.  I've replaced the chrome square tube base of the original with gently tapered hickory legs and the plastic "feet" with walnut.  Glass top is 1/2" thick.
